Half Birthday!

Our sweet little booger is 6 months old. Cannot believe it. She is growing and changing daily. She decided one day out of  the blue after we had been  shoving food in her mouth that she now loves food.. So she is eating peas, carrots, sweet potatoes and AVOCADOS are her favorite!! She hates fruit!

You are our sunshine!! Still not quite sleeping through the night but you are trying. Between all your teeth that keep coming in (you have 2 and 2 trying to come in)  and a couple ear infections you are trying to sleep and for that we are so thankful! You are giggling a lot more which brightens are day. You are trying so hard to crawl. Your favorite thing is BELLA. You scream at her to get her attention and she is just as crazy about you!

Grandparents are the BEST!

A few weeks ago my mom came in town for the weekend and then the following weekend we met Grammie in Lebanon and went shopping for HHH some clothes. We got a ton of clothes!! It is always so great to see my family. They do not live too far but Henslee is growing up so fast and I want us all to love on her every minute we can. Every time my mom comes in town Henslee does something new. She started just babbling on this time around. She is going to come in this weekend so maybe she will be crawling by then. :)

Then the next day Papa and Gigi came to visit. Gigi birthday is Valentines so we dressed Henslee up in her hearts dress. Gigi and Papa brought LOTS of gifts for all of us.. I got a heart paper weight, Chad got a underarmor Auburn jacket (he loves) and Henslee got a little outfit to wear on Valentines (which you will see shortly) and some great toys that she loves.

10,9,8,7,6,5....HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

We had an awesome New Years weekend. Every year we get together with some great friends and ring in the new year, typically in Gatlinburg or some great location. This year however we had it at the Hethcox house. It was just going to be easier with the little one in tow. I just could not send her to her grandparents with her not sleeping through the night yet... not to mention the eating scenario.

When Henslee saw Hayden it was LOVE at first sight.

We really had a great time... the girls hung out talking (sorry Hayden) about what Lauren was going to need for her new baby. And the boys spent the day smoking some Ribs.. Lauren got Dave a smoker for Christmas so we all got to enjoy that gift... except our little vegan Hayden.

So when the ball dropped we were playing the boys vs girls knowledge game.. btw its not fair cause the guys questions are way easier than girls... But just about 10 seconds before it happened my little bug woke up and I was able to wish the new year in with Chad and Henslee in her room. It was sweet. I cannot wait for next year to see where we go and who all will be the new additions.

Henslee is 5 months old!!

 Oh how you have changed from month one.....

You are the most precious child. Your dad tells me all the time you are his best friend.  I think he thinks it hurts my feelings but it just makes me happy because he loves you so much! You are the sweetest thing.  We both want to be the first person to get you in the morning because you are always smiling. You actually smile all the time but I can NEVER get it on camera. You are a huge thinker and take everything and everyone in.  You look at everyone with the same facial expressions as me, which makes me happy. but I think worries your dad.

You are at all the milestones like rolling over, eating solid foods, you have already gotten one tooth and are working on another. And you love your feet right now.

Right now you have been the MOST fun age so far. You are interacting with us and babbling. You are grabbing at everything. You are NOT sleeping through the night... please do that soon. :)

HO HO HO- Henslee first Christmas

We were all over the place seeing everyone we could for Christmas... it was so much fun. Chad was so excited to get to knoxville and for the festivities to begin that when it was all over he was almost depressed. Henslee got so many wonderful gifts and well we did too! Ipads for everyone...seriously everyone got an Ipad and so I took one back and bought me a cannon rebel camera. I love it so much that I have been taking pictures nonstop. I have wished for the ipad back a few times because I want to play pin ball and solitaire but Chad shares. Back to Henslee... I cannot wait til next Christmas this one was so much fun. It was so precious to see her squeeze new babies that she would get or snuggle on things that she liked. And she got some of the cutest bibs, clothes, and wait for it......CAR SEAT BLANKET COVER... it s a butterfly.. it comes with a hat that has tenticles.

 I didnt do so great of taking photos at the brunch at dad and Sallie's but here is a picture of Daniel Gooch and Henslee. We celebrate Christmas with  all the neighbors.  Dad and Sallie have lived next to the Gooches for literally FOREVER. They were next door neighbors in their last neighborhood before Joshua was ever born...so aka FAMILY

GO to work with Mommy

I have some really wonderful people I work with that have asked for Henslee to come by the office and see them. All of these people are really family to me. Deanna and Jere were my very first customers as a sales rep. They truely gave me my FIRST chance and gave me a try. They have been there through getting married and now with a baby....last 7 years. They have literally seen me grow up! So I could not wait to take her to the office and see everyone.

When I was in college I used to fit bone growth stimulators for Dr. Law....well still do just different brand now.  He and his wonderful wife Katharina along with their great staff Elaine and Lynn have been part of our family for 14 years. My dad and Dr. Law are great friends and so we just love them. I so enjoy going to their office because it is not like work. In fact Dr. Law and Katharina are the ones that let Chad and I borrow their Rolls  Royce Convertible for our wedding. They also came to the hospital to visit us and once we got home.  Katharina handmade Henslee the most gorgeous blanket (pictures of that to come). So I think you get it we ..are close and I love them all!! Here are some pics from that day
